Magical David performs a unique combination of live magic, music & comedy for children and adults at theaters, corporate events & private parties. His original children's music recordings have sold in the most famous toy stores in the world including FAO Schwarz and also available on CD Baby, Amazon, I-tunes and more. Magical David has performed for many thousands of children & adults from all over the world for every day folks & also for world known celebreties including iconic musicians, actors, politicians and more.
His magic illusions currently include: Sparkling Candle to Rose,The Instant Production of two Giant Magic Wands, Vanishing Magic Wands, The hillarous production of magic flowers that appear and disappear, "Magic Money" from everywhere including children's ears, "Spooky The Ghost" & yards and yards of colorful silks and ribbons that transform into Magic Candies for all the kids, among many others. At bigger shows he performs illusions such as the Levitation of an Audience Member plus psychic/ESP routines.
The live music features David on guitar and vocals with songs ranging from well known kiddie favorties to his own "Magical Animal Songs" from his CD's "Beautiful Planet" and "Singing With Friends" to his "Silly Messed Up Songs" (i.e. Old Macdonald Had a Hamburger, ABC...Climb a Tree, Birthday Cake.... Fell On The Floor). He also plays around with his original "Crazy, Magical Musical Instruments": The "Flying/Falling" kazoo & The bubble blowing Saxophone. Plus, David swallows his flute and his harmonica plays out of his ear. At big concerts David performs with his "magical" electric guitar synthesizer, which reproduces the sounds of over 200 musical instruments in stereo.
Magical David™ has been fortunate to have performed for all kinds of interesting people from all over the world primarily in the tri state area. He performs mostly for every day folks but has been lucky to be invited to perform at private parties for celelebrities and their children, including: Michael Douglas, Issabella Roselini, Billy Joel, Judy Collins, Mary Beth Hurt, Ian Hunter, The Beach Boys, Mayors Koch, Dinkins, Guilliani and Bloomberg and comedian turned politician Al Franken, among others.
In the Summer of 1997, Magical David performed his magic and original music at Connecticut’s largest rock concert stadium, "The Meadows Music Theater". Twenty thousand children and adults came to see "Magical David"™ in Concert". The Meadow’s Promoter/Director, Mr. Randy Garelick noted that "Magical David had every child and adult in the palm of his hand. "His patter is so engaging, even with thousands of kids in the audience, you could still hear a pin drop".
Magical David Bio & Show Description
Magical David™ began performing magic tricks at the age of twelve. By age fourteen he was doing shows at birthday parties for little kids and by age sixteen he was driving with his junior license to teach magic at after school programs at The Fieldston School in Riverdale and the Ardsley Concord Road School.
